Our beginnings
Plug & Play Audio was born from the passion of three car audio enthusiasts from Car Stereo Specialists in Hawaii. With over 40 years of combined experience in the audio and automotive industries, we’ve honed our skills to create a brand that caters to DIY enthusiasts. We understand that not everyone wants to rely on professional installers, and some prefer to take matters into their own hands. That’s why we’ve focused on developing simple yet high-performing audio systems that don’t require any modifications to the vehicle or its wiring. We know that DIY can be intimidating, especially if you’re not familiar with the process. That’s why all our kits are 100% plug and play. No cutting, splicing, or tapping any wiring, and no need to mess with your vehicle’s panels.
We’re not just car enthusiasts who sell products; we’re passionate about cars and car audio installation. We still run a fully functional retail and installation shop, which gives us the freedom to push the boundaries of plug-and-play technology. We have access to a wide range of makes, models, and specific trim packages of each vehicle, so we can make sure our products work perfectly in your car. We design, build, test, and tune all our products in-house.

Our products
Over our extensive years of experience we’ve installed and tested almost every car audio brand out there. From the top-of-the-line mainstream brands to OEM-style plug-and-play kits. That’s why we take a unique approach to plug-and-play car audio products. We don’t make our own electronics. Instead, we’ve partnered with some of the best car audio brands worldwide. We carefully selected specific products from these brands and built everything needed to make them 100% plug-and-play for your vehicle. Our installation kits, harnesses, mounting adapters, and other parts are all hand-built by our in-house team. Our DSP/Amplifier kits are also pre-calibrated and tuned for your specific vehicle and speaker kit. When you receive your products, they’ll be fully assembled and ready to plug in. You won’t get a box of accessories with your speakers or amps and a list of instructions telling you to assemble it all before you even start installing them. That’s not true plug-and-play. Our goal is to make your install as simple as possible, with the same results you’d get from a highly experienced car audio installer.
